Tabor Electronics Introduces Portable, High-Resolution Microwave Signal Generators at IMS 2023

Tabor Electronics has introduced the Lucid-X Series Microwave Signal Generators with frequency ranges of 8 GHz, 20 GHz, and 40 GHz. Built on Tabor’s modular technology platform, the LS-X family is available in PXIe, USB-module, rack, benchtop, and portable form factors. These signal generators have a phase noise of -120 dBc/Hz at 1 GHz (10 kHz offset), fast and high-resolution frequency switching and 15 dBm of standard output power. They can meet some of the market’s most challenging requirements.

Key Features of Lucid X-Series of Microwave Signal Generators

Outstanding Electrical Specifications

The outstanding phase noise and output power, combined with excellent amplitude accuracy, -40 dBc harmonics and low spurious provide the spectral purity engineers working on next-generation microwave and mmWave systems need to get their job done.

Multi-Channel Microwave Signal Generator

The unique modular multi-channel architecture of the LS-X series means that with one instrument, engineers can test mixers, RF A/D converters, amplifiers, and use it as a LO (Local Oscillator) to create microwave beams for electronic warfare and communication equipment testing.

Full Set of Modulation Modes

Amplitude, frequency, and phase modulation outputs are all standard on Lucid-X signal generators. The signal generator’s pulse modulator provides narrow pulsing capability with a high on/off ratio.

High-Frequency Signal Generator in the PXI Format

The Lucid-X microwave signal generator offers the best price-performance microwave signal generator in the PXIe format. Now, PXIe systems can be configured as mixers, amplifiers, and RF A/D converter test stations at frequencies as high as 40 GHz.

Modular Form Factor for OEM Designers

Embed a 40 GHz source in your radar or communications system, with USB control and excellent temperature stability it’s ideal for systems integration.

Portability for Field Test

The portable form factor is the size of a tablet computer, 28.0 x 22.5 cm x 6.5 cm (11.0 in x 9.0 in x 2.6 in), making it ideal for field test requirements.

A Complete Signal Generation Solution in any Format Addresses a Wide Range of Needs

The multiple-form factor Lucid-X microwave signal generators meet demanding requirements for research, design, test, and troubleshooting. On the bench, in the rack, embedded, or as part of a PXIe test system, the LS-X series elegantly solves many engineering problems.

Tabor Electronics is showcasing the Lucid-X series microwave signal generators at the IMS 2023 event, which is taking place from June 11-16 at the San Diego Convention Center, San Diego, California.
