Copper Mountain Tech Expands Team to Support VNA Demand

VNAAs demand for their vector network analyzers (VNAs) increases, Copper Mountain Technologies (CMT) has hired two new employees to support the company’s growth. Masud Al Aziz and Rick Hollowell will both be helping customers improve their radio frequency (RF) and microwave testing processes using CMT's affordable, PC based lab-grade equipment.

As the new senior applications engineer and RF specialist for CMT, Al Aziz brings extensive experience in microwave engineering, RF circuit design, antenna design and digital signal processing to the company. Prior to joining CMT, he worked at Telenor Company as a deputy superintendent engineer. He has Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degrees as well as a Ph.D.  During his graduate and postgraduate studies, Al Aziz completed various research projects centered on RF and microwave engineering. His knowledge and expertise prepared him to publish papers in several Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) journals, present at conferences and serve as a reviewer for IEEE conference papers.

Hollowell is the new national business development manager for CMT and will focus on expanding the company’s market position by implementing new strategic goals, enhancing key customer relationships and identifying new business opportunities. With more than 30 years of experience in the microwave, RFID and test and measurement industries, he will further enhance the company’s position as a leading provider of top-quality, portable VNAs that are a fraction of the cost of big, traditional analyzers. Prior to CMT, Hollowell managed test equipment sales and rentals at Continental Resources. He also held an executive management position at Microwave Radio Communications as well as managed distribution and reseller sales channels for microwave antenna systems at Radio Waves, Inc. and Cobham Defense Electronic Systems.
