MatSing, a pioneer and innovator of high-capacity lens antenna technology, has announced the deployment of its multibeam lens antennas at the FBC Mortgage Stadium in Orlando, FL. As carriers look for high sectorization, increased capacity, and maximized spectrum utilization in high-traffic venues, they are finding MatSing’s patented multibeam lens antennas ideal for their needs. Over 20 NCAA college football teams, playing in venues ranging from 25K to 100K+ capacity, currently leverage MatSing’s antennas for their 4G LTE and 5G connectivity.
“Connectivity in dense environments like stadiums is a challenge for carriers as they look for improved signal quality and the ability to support a multitude of connected devices with superior upload speed,” said Bo Larsson, the CEO of MatSing. “Staying connected to your friends, whether that be virtual via social media or physically with applications such as Find My Friends, can make or break a gameday experience. As FBC Mortgage Stadium prepares to support the upcoming 2023 Cure Bowl, MatSing lens antennas are the ideal choice to increase capacity. We are pleased to work with the anchor carrier, which is also the neutral-host operator, and the UCF technical team on this new deployment.”
The network at UCF includes five MatSing antennas, with four being the large sphere antennas and one MBA lens panel antenna. The four large sphere antennas are deployed on either side of the field to cover the stadium while the single multiband panel lens antenna is in place to cover the outside and tailgating areas.
