Signal Microwave, a design and manufacturing company that develops RF/microwave connectors and test boards for the Signal Integrity / High Speed Digital market, and 5G mmWave, has developed a series of test boards for edge launch RF connectors. These boards operate in the 40 GHz, 70 GHz, and 110 GHz frequency bands and deliver the desired performance response over the band to be used in various test and measurement applications. They are also designed to ensure proper alignment of connectors to deliver maximum signal power during testing phase.
40 GHz Test Boards
The test boards 044-044-1Fn/044-044-2Fn/045-045-1Fn/045-045-2Fn are available in 1-inch/2 inches microstrip and 1 inch/2 inches grounded coplanar waveguide configurations that are constructed using 8 mil Rogers’ RO4003 dielectric with FR-4 backer support. The test board design consists of a signal layer (for launching the signal), a ground layer, ground vias for connection, other signal layers, simulation ports for analysis, and signal trace, and a top ground pad. The simulation port can be used to perform simulations and develop models using RF connectors. Click here to learn more.
70 GHz Test Boards
These test boards 020-020-1Fn/020-020-2Fn/021-021-1Fn/021-021-2Fn are available in 1-inch/2 inches microstrip and 1 inch/2 inches grounded coplanar waveguide (GCPWG) configurations that are constructed using 8 mil Rogers’ RO4003 dielectric with FR-4 backer. The test board design consists of a signal layer, a ground layer, ground vias for connection, other signal layers, simulation ports for analysis, and signal trace, and a top ground pad. The simulation port can be used to perform simulations and develop models using connectors. Click here to learn more.
110 GHz Test Boards
The test boards 044-044-1Fn/044-044-2Fn/045-045-1Fn/045-045-1Fn are available in 1-inch/2 inches microstrip and 1 inch/2 inches grounded coplanar waveguide configurations that are constructed using 5 mil ISOLA ASTRA MT77 material with FR-4 backer support. The test board design consists of a signal layer (for launching the signal), a ground layer, ground vias for connection, other signal layers, simulation ports for analysis, and signal trace, and a top ground pad. The simulation port can be used to perform simulations and develop models using connectors. Click here to learn more.
