Richardson RFPD Announces Availability of Sub-3 GHz Small-Footprint, Flexible LTE Antenna from Taoglas

Richardson RFPD, an Arrow Electronics company, announced the availability and full design support capabilities for a new LTE antenna from Taoglas. The FXUB63 is an extremely efficient, wideband, flexible LTE antenna with a small footprint. This easy-to-install, durable, flexible polymer antenna operates on greater than 45% efficiency on LTE bands from 698–3000 MHz.

The FXUB63 antenna is a durable flexible polymer antenna with a peak gain of 5 dBi and is designed to be mounted directly onto a plastic or glass cover. It is an ideal choice for any device maker that needs to keep manufacturing costs down over the lifetime of a product. This antenna is ground plane independent and delivered with a cable and connector for easy connecting to the wireless module or customer PCB.

The FXUB63 is suitable for a wide array of applications that need LTE connectivity, including home automation, emergency services, automotive, healthcare, HD video, vending machines, digital signage, IoT gateways, smart grid and agriculture.

Additional key features of the Taoglas FXUB63 include:

  • Frequency range: 698–2690 MHz
  • Peak gain: +5 dBi
  • Impedance: 50 ohms
  • Polarization: Linear
  • Mounting style: Adhesive
  • Dimensions: 96 mm x 21 mm x 0.2 mm

Cables and Connectors are customizable. Like all such antennas, care should be taken to mount the antenna at least 10 mm from metal components or surfaces, and ideally 20 mm for best radiation efficiency.
