SpacePath Communications (‘SpacePath’), a provider of high-performance satellite uplink amplifiers and associated equipment for the global SATCOM market, will be showcasing its high-power millimeter-wave travelling wave tube amplifiers (TWTA) at Satellite 2024 in Washington DC.
SpacePath’s very high-power TWTA amplifiers, coupled with broadband millimeter-wave frequencies, enables significantly higher data rates for commercial, military and scientific missions.
The company’s latest millimeter-wave amplifiers on display at Satellite 2024 will include:
- 550 W K-band TWTA (22.5-23.5 GHz) for lunar and deep-space missions
- 750 W Ka-band TWTA (27.5-31.0 GHz) for high-throughput satellite and military applications
- 200 W Q-band TWTA (43.5-45.5 GHz) for military SATCOM
Completing SpacePath’s broad product offering, existing millimeter-wave products include:
- 400 W K-band TWTA (22.5-23.5 GHz)
- 650/550 W Ka-band TWTA (27.5-31.0 GHz)
- 180/190 W Q-band TWTA (43.5-45.5 GHz)
- 250 W V-band TWTA (47.2-51.4 GHz)
SpacePath’s third-generation high-power amplifier technology incorporates many market-leading features to streamline maintenance, drive down cost and simplify overall system operation. These include:
- Modular construction for ease of assembly and service
- Revolutionary compressed carbon cooling for smaller, lighter form factor
- Plug-n-play compatibility with competitor’s command interface
Colin Bolton, director of business development, SpacePath Communications, said: “The growth markets for high-power amplifiers are in high-throughput satellite networks at Ka- and Q/V-band as well as military and scientific missions at K- and Q-band. At Satellite 2024, we’ll be showcasing our new millimeter-wave amplifiers which feature the highest power available to serve these demanding market segments.”
SpacePath’s high performance uplink amplifiers cover all mission-critical segments including high-throughput satellite (HTS), mobile satellite, fixed-earth stations and military satellite communications.
