Werbel Microwave, a company that designs and produces high performance radio frequency components for defense, commercial, test and measurement applications, has introduced WM6RD-7.2-S, a 6-way resistive power splitter/combiner. This power divider covers the frequency range from DC to 7.2 GHz and exhibits ultra-wide bandwidth, catering to various broadband RF applications.
This power divider’s unique design accomplishes extremely flat frequency response in a small radial package. The unique design approach also provides higher than expected isolation between outputs at far ports than would be achieved in a typical star topology. It offers an isolation of 9.5 dB (within group) and 25.0 dB (between groups A-B) and has an insertion loss of 15.6 dB.
This power divider comes in a connectorized Aluminum housing that has SMA-type connectors with female configuration and is suitable for use in indoor environments only. It is both RoHS and REACH compliant and BeCu contacts and PTFE insulation. The WM6RD-7.2-S is suitable for use in applications such as CATV, test and measurement, and military radio due to its small size and ease-of-integration.
