TUALCOM Introduces New Compact 4-Channel ESM/ELINT Receiver for Radar Signals from 2 to 18 GHz

TUALCOM, a provider of high-frequency broadband solutions for communication, RF technologies, radar and electronic warfare, has introduced a new compact ESM/ELINT receiver that receives radar signals across 2 GHz to 18 GHz spectrum.

The new compact ESM/ELINT receiver can instantly generate pulse description words including frequency, amplitude, pulse width, time of arrival, PRI, etc. data to be transmitted over a Gigabit Ethernet interface. It also has an LVDS interface for critical settings and telemetry data.

The ESM/ELINT receiver has 4 RF input channels that provide DF capability. Its compact design incorporates DFD and SDLVA blocks as well as a signal processor board that generates PDWs in nanoseconds. The signal processor is capable of generating more than 2 million PDWs per second. This receiver enables users to define digital filters to get rid of undesired ones. It also incorporates switch multiplexer filters to eliminate undesired bands for each input channel separately.

Key Specifications of Compact ESM/ELINT Receiver:

  • High Precision & High Resolution
  • PDW Generation
  • MIL-STD-810G/461F Compatible
  • Digital Filtering
  • Excellent SwaP (Size/Weight/Power)
  • Ultra Fast Response
  • Integrated SwMux Filters

Benefits of Compact ESM/ELINT Receiver:

  • Low SWaP
  • Suitable for deployment in small unmanned platforms
  • Suitable for Stealth ELINT Missions
  • ESM/ELINT drone for naval, land and air operations
  • Ideal for miniature electronic support applications

TUALCOM has ongoing projects utilizing superheterodyne receivers for a broader frequency range and DRFM-based solutions for various applications such as radar simulators, ECM, COMINT systems, etc.
