Advantech Wireless has announced the release of the Second Generation GaN Technology based 300W/400W X-Band SapphireBlu SSPA/SSPB for military applications. The New 300W/400W Second Generation GaN based X-Band SapphireBlu systems provide very high linearity and high power density in a compact size. With a weatherproof construction, these units are perfectly suited for solid communications in the harshest of environments.
The Second Generation X-band GaN SSPAs have been designed to meet the stringent requirements of Military Standards for Mobile Satcom Terminals. These new SSPAs provide an impressive 60% increase in linearity over the previous generation Solid State Technology while reducing the size and energy consumption by more than 50%. Designed to me mounted on ruggedized military trailers, these are a direct replacement for 750W TWTs, fully compliant with the latest versions of Mil-Std-810G.
The design of the Second Generation GaN SSPAs/SSPBs is based on Advantech Wireless’s industry proven reliable solid-state high power amplifiers. Combined with the traditional Advantech Wireless features, these new series of BUCs provide the ultimate in performance and convenience.
