Vaunix Launches Portable and Versatile Digital Step Attenuators Operating up to 8 GHz at IMS 2024

Vaunix, a leading provider of custom wireless system testing solutions, portable testing devices, and handover test systems, has launched the LDA-908V-2 and LDA-608V-2 digital step attenuators at the IEEE International Microwave Symposium (IMS) 2024 in Washington D.C, this week. These digital step attenuators are the latest additions to Vaunix’s Lab Brick digital attenuator portfolio, offering excellent portability and versatility to the test bench.

These portable attenuators include high precision features, making them a valuable tool for engineers and technicians looking to easily configure programmable fixed attenuation, swept attenuation ramps, and fading profiles for their engineering, microwave test benches, and other production test environments.

Key Features of the Digital Attenuators

LDA-608V-2: The LDA-608V-2 test attenuator delivers exceptional performance for demanding RF applications. With a frequency range of 200 MHz to 8 GHz, 0.1 dB step size, and typical accuracy of less than 0.25 dB over a 60 dB control range, the LDA-608V-2 ensures precise and reliable attenuation.

The LDA-608V-2 features two independently controlled attenuator paths, making it ideal for multi-channel testing scenarios. Its robust design can handle input levels up to 2 Watts, ensuring compatibility with a wide range of signal sources. The attenuator has a Native HID interface for seamless integration with a wide range of systems. It also includes a GUI, SDK supporting Windows, Linux, and MAC operating systems, and LabVIEW drivers.

LDA-908V-2: This LDA-908V-2 Digital Attenuator is a highly accurate, bidirectional, 50-ohm step attenuator with 2 independently controlled attenuator paths. It provides calibrated attenuation from 200 to 8000 MHz with an amazing step size of 0.1 dB and a typical accuracy of less than 0.25 dB over 90 dB of control range. The attenuator has a Native HID interface for seamless integration with a wide range of systems. It also includes a GUI, SDK supporting Windows, Linux, and MAC operating systems, and LabVIEW drivers.

"This is just another example of our ability to create adaptable testing solutions that combine cost-effectiveness, user-friendliness, and dependable performance,” said Dennis Flanders, Director of Sales and Marketing at Vaunix. “Vaunix rivals large, expensive RF/microwave test equipment with compact, portable Lab Bricks that are equally effective in the field, test laboratory, or production line.”
