Scientific Microwave Introduces Double-Ridged End-Launch Bandpass Filter from 6 to 18 GHz

Scientific Microwave Corporation (SMC), a company that offers state-of-the-art technical expertise for the design, development, and production of passive microwave and millimeter-wave components and subsystems for military, space, and commercial applications, has introduced WRD650, a double-ridged waveguide bandpass filter that has a passband from 6.00 to 18.00 GHz. This filter can be connected at the end or edge of the PCB board, making it an end-launch solution. It allows RF signals to pass within 6-18 GHz band with excellent matching level and high power handling capabilities.

This end-launch filter has a passband insertion loss of 1.2 dB and offers a rejection of better than 70 dB in the stopband at 19.17 GHz, from 19.17-40 GHz, and 26-40 GHz. It has a VSWR of 1.5:1 (Waveguide) and 1.6:1 (Coaxial).

This bandpass filter is available in a module with SMA (female) end launch connectors and WRD650 waveguide interface and is ideal for use in antenna feeding structures, radar systems, and satellite applications.
