Microlab Introduces Twin Triplexer for 5G Applications from 1850 to 5925 MHz

Microlab, a provider of RF and microwave distribution systems, has introduced a new twin triplexer for combining or splitting of PCS/AWS with WCS, 2.5/BRS, or C-Band frequencies for 5G carrier aggregation in DAS and small cells supporting 2x2 MIMO technology. This BK-3104T consists of two triplexer units with inputs that are well-isolated over their respective frequency bands to minimize inter-band interference, ensuring high reliability.

This triplexer integrates three ports with port 1 operating over the frequency range from 1850 – 1995 MHz, port 2 from 1695 – 1780 and 2110 – 2200 MHz, and port 3 from 2305 – 2690 MHz, 3300 – 4200 MHz, and 5150 – 5925 MHz. It has an insertion loss of less than 0.4 dB and provides an isolation of more than 35 dB. This triplexer can handle an average input power of 60 W, a peak input power of 1 kW, and guarantees low passive Passive Intermodulation (PIM) of less than -155 dBc for a prolonged period.

The connectors of this dual triplexer are spaced to be compatible with common protective boots for enhanced weatherproofing, as well as allowing for easy and precise installation with a torque wrench. It comes in an IP67-rated gray powder-coated housing that measures 4.89 x 5.32 x 2.55 inches and includes either NEX10 (female) or 2.2-5.0 (female) connectors depending on the order requirements.

This triplexer unit is RoHS-compliant and is equipped with lightning protection by providing a surge current handling capability of ±5 kA for 8/20 µs. It does not require a DC pass and has an operating temperature range from -40°C to +85°C.
