Anona Security Technology Limited has released a Matter over Wi-Fi compatible smart lock, that can be installed on any door to provide remote wireless access to a premises for the homeowner or an approved visitor. The ‘Anona Holo’ smart lock integrates both Nordic Semiconductor’s nRF5340 advanced multiprotocol SoC and nRF7002 Wi-Fi 6 Companion IC.
The Anona Holo smart lock offers a versatile range of access methods. Homeowners can unlock their doors through Bluetooth® LE connectivity via the ‘Anona Security’ app available on both iOS and Android devices. Additionally, the lock supports direct Wi-Fi connectivity, allowing users to control it through major smart home ecosystems like Alexa, Apple Home, and other Matter-compatible systems without needing an extra Wi-Fi bridge. In cases where digital access isn't feasible, the lock also features a manual keypad and a mechanical thumb latch for physical entry.
Nordic Semiconductor's nRF5340 SoC is at the heart of the Anona Holo, providing industry-leading security and performance. The SoC is equipped with the Arm CryptoCell-312 cryptographic accelerator, which ensures robust hardware-accelerated encryption. Additionally, Arm TrustZone technology provides a secure environment for trusted software operations by isolating secure and non-secure data.
The smart lock is designed to operate efficiently on just four AA batteries, boasting a battery life of four to six months under normal use or up to eight months in low power mode, making it highly convenient for users.
