MatSing, a leader in high-capacity lens antenna technology, is playing a pivotal role in the ongoing $560 million renovation of the Caesars Superdome in New Orleans. In preparation for the New Orleans Saints' upcoming NFL season and the highly anticipated Big Game 59 in February 2025, MatSing has deployed its advanced lens antennas to significantly enhance mobile connectivity across the venue.
A major national wireless carrier has led the deployment of a state-of-the-art neutral-host network at the Superdome, featuring 30 multibeam lens antennas. These antennas, with a range of 8 to 48 beams, ensure comprehensive coverage throughout the field and seating areas. Additionally, over 200 MatSing single-beam lens antennas have been strategically installed, providing multi-band and multi-carrier connectivity for the stadium’s 83,000-seat capacity.
Bo Larsson, CEO of MatSing, highlighted the importance of this upgrade, stating, "Video consumption is now a crucial part of the fan experience at sporting events. With more than 200 sectors enabled in the venue and increased network capacity provided by our innovative lens antennas, fans can enjoy a seamless experience—whether they're streaming game highlights, posting on social media, or managing their sports betting and fantasy football teams."
The New Orleans Saints have also emphasized that the new antenna system will enhance coverage in both seating areas and specific field zones, benefiting fans in 12 field-level suites, the Mercedes-Benz End Zone Club, teams, and on-field media.
These upgrades are designed to ensure the Superdome is fully equipped for the Saints’ home opener against the Carolina Panthers on September 8 and will provide superior connectivity and fan engagement for many seasons to come.
