Broadwave Technologies Introduces 50-Ohm Inner DC Block from 10 to 2500 MHz

Broadwave Technologies has introduced the model 859-173-BLK, which is a 50 Ω inner DC block that operates over a frequency range from 10 to 2500 MHz. DC blocks are RF components that allow RF to pass through the unit but do not allow DC to pass through the unit. The model 859-173-BLK exhibits a VSWR of up to 1.50:1 with an insertion loss of less than 0.4 dB and has a maximum blocking voltage is 100 V (DC). It includes N-type male/BNC-type female connectors for the RF port.

Key Applications of Model 859-173-BLK

  • Ground loop elimination
  • Signal source modulation leakage suppression
  • System signal-to-noise ratio improvement
  • Test setup isolation and other situations where undesired DC or audio current flows within a system such as the input or the output of an amplifier to prevent loading of the bias voltages
