Syniverse has announced that it will include the release of global LTE roaming trends derived from the analysis of the global traffic across its Connected LTE portfolio, along with the company’s participation in several speaking engagements, which include an Interactive Advertising Bureau (IAB) panel on Creating an All-Star Mobile Strategy to Engage Fans, Keynote 8: The Fourth Industrial Revolution and Women Encouraging Technology at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2017.
Syniverse’s presence at the conference will commence with an announcement of unique insights into the maturity of LTE as a global technology and the implications for 5G. The data is said to be based on an analysis of traffic across its global IPX network and Connected LTE portfolio with reach to over 800 operators. Their on-stage presence begins with the IAB program on Feb. 28 when Chief Marketing Officer and Chief of Staff Mary Clark will join the National Basketball Association’s (NBA) Senior Vice President of mobile strategy, Christine Pantoya, for a fireside chat. The session titled “Creating an All-Star Mobile Strategy to Engage Fans” will examine how the NBA leverages a myriad of mobile channels to drive experiences like in-arena navigation; food ordering; quizzes; player interactions and more.
Another session to follow would be The Fourth Industrial Revolution keynote that will feature presentations by the senior-most executives from Nokia, PricewaterhouseCoopers, TELE2 and Smart Dubai, moderated by Clark. The session will explore how a complex ecosystem of organizations – from commercial companies and regulators to civic institutions and more – can collaborate to unlock the potential of the technological, industrial revolution that is driving a more intelligent and efficient world through big data, artificial intelligence, robotics and the Internet of Things.
Clark will also be moderating the “Women Encouraging Technology: Mentorship, Coaching, Education & Youth” portion of the GSM Association’s (GSMA) Women4Tech Summit. During the session, he and others will explore the challenges facing women in technology and how to provide youth and young female leaders with inspiring role models and mentoring relationships. Guest speakers on this topic will include senior female executives from Cartoon Network, Lenovo, Brightstar, National Mentoring Day, iTalent Corporation, Airtel Ghana and the Mobile Ecosystem Forum.
Syniverse will also participate in the conference’s Next Generation Hotspot and Wi-Fi Certified Passpoint network for the third consecutive year. Led by the Wireless Broadband Alliance and the GSMA, this initiative will allow MWC attendees from participating mobile operators to automatically connect to the public Wi-Fi network at the Fira Gran Via venue. Syniverse, as a member of the Wireless Broadband Alliance and in conjunction with more than 50 mobile operators and several other technology partners, will help automatically authenticate mobile devices at the conference to enable attendees to have seamless network access.
