ZTEWelink Technology has introduced its latest LTE Cat.4 module ME3630 to provide IoT clients in Europe a reliable communications solution. The CE, RoHS and WEEE approved module, can run over the European operators’ 4G LTE network easily and thus enable efficient and faster transfer of information between IoT devices.
The new ZTEWelink cellular module is based on the Qualcomm MDM9X07 chipset and supports FDD-LTE B1/B3/B7/B8/B20, WCDMA B1/B8 and GSM B3/B8. It is capable of delivering theoretical rates of 50 Mbps (UL) and 150 Mbps (DL) and is available in 30 x 30 mm LCC form factor or Mini PCIE form factor. The module is Pin to Pin compatible with other 3G/4G modules and also supports GNSS, FOTA, TCP/UDP.
According to the latest report from Berg Insight, Europe was the world’s most active area for IoT in 2016 with up to 95.5 million cellular connections. The availability of the ME3630 module can boost the numbers as it can be widely applied in various M2M scenarios such as telematics, industrial gateway, security and surveillance, vending machine, smart grid, etc.
In the past, ZTEWelink has developed a number of modules for the European market, such as the CDMA 1X 450 MHz module in smart meter industry and the GSM tracker in UBI. These products whose have been tested and verified by European customers over the last few years.
