Quectel Wireless has launched an LTE Category 18 module, which is among the first true high-speed modules that offer 1.2Gbps Downlink /150Mbps Uplink peak rates. The EG18 is based on Qualcomm's SDX20 chipset and is fully compliant with 3GPP R12 specification. It supports state-of-the-art wireless technologies such as Carrier Aggregation (CA), 4x4 MIMO technology as well as 256QAM.
Quectel EG18 is a series of LTE Advanced modules optimized specially for M2M and IoT applications which support industrial operating temperature range of -40 to 85˚C. It supports Qualcomm IZat location technology Gen8C Lite (GPS, GLONASS, BeiDou, Galileo and QZSS). Integrated GNSS technology greatly simplifies product design, and provides quicker, more accurate and more dependable positioning capability.
