Rugged In-Vehicle Antenna for Public Safety, Gigabit LTE and 5G Ready Applications

Parsec Technologies has released a rugged antenna that meets the LTE LAA specifications for Public Safety, Gigabit LTE, and 5G Ready applications.

Parsec's Doberman antenna series are omnidirectional, ruggedized, high-performance antennas covering cellular frequencies from 600 MHz to 6 GHz that support 256 QAM. This is one of the first antenna series that meets the LTE LAA (Licensed Assisted Access) specifications as well as all common North American LTE bands with high gain and high efficiency. The Doberman antenna series works across Bands 12, 14, 66, and 71 in addition to the CBRS Bands 42, 43 and 48 as well as the unlicensed bands in the 5 GHz spectrum allowing for the fastest speeds possible today while also providing a path to easily upgrade to 5G in the future.

The Doberman antennas support current 4G LTE radios as well as the new Gigabit-Class LTE router solutions for fast, reliable access to the new public safety network, including Band 14. This series is optimized to work specifically with current 4G LTE routers and new in-vehicle and in-building routers for Gigabit-Class LTE and 5G Ready networks. Doberman series antennas operate using MIMO LTE, MIMO Wi-Fi, and precision GPS antennas.

Parsec's Doberman antenna series covers LTE frequency bands ranging from 617-894 MHz, 1695-2700 MHz, 3300-3800 MHz, and 5150-5850 MHz. These frequency bands cover all current 4G LTE bands, as well as the bands on the new public safety network and on the CBRS bands. MIMO Wi-Fi antennas within the Doberman series support Wi-Fi frequencies ranging from 2400-2483.5 MHz and 4900-5900 MHz. The antennas are omnidirectional and have efficiencies up to 85%. They also support GPS.

Configurable as a 6-in-1, 5-in-1, 4-in-1, 3-in-1, or 2-in-1 antenna, the Doberman can be used together with other Doberman antenna configurations to achieve 4X4 MIMO with dual carrier support. These antennas are ruggedized and available in IP67 rated radomes.
