Precision Devices Inc. has announced two new series of high temperature Oven Controlled Crystal Oscillators (OCXO) – The VN01 and VN03 Series. These OCXO product is are ideal for applications like satellite communications and a variety of military systems where extremely high temperature operating environments are the normal. They can operate at temperatures up to 90°C. This high temperature operation ability lowers the cooling requirements of the systems they are integrated into. In certain use cases they do not require the systems to have a cooling mechanism, reducing the overall power consumption, size and weight of the system.
