Pasternack Enterprises has introduced a new family of coaxial X band high gain power amplifiers. These RF amplifiers are typically used as driver amplifiers or high power output amplifiers in a wide variety of commercial, industrial and military applications including telecom infrastructure, test instrumentation, fixed microwave backhaul, radar systems, communication systems, satellite communications and commercial avionics.
This new range of amplifiers are ideally suited for high linearity applications with frequencies ranging from 8 to 12 GHz. They offer 30 to 41 dB small signal gain with flatness from 0.5 to 1 dB and an IP3 up to 44 dBm. There are three options available PE15A4006 and PE15A4008 are 1 Watt options and the PE15A4007 is a 4 Watt option. The power amplifiers are packaged inside hermetically-sealed metal enclosures with SMA connectors.
This excellent performance is achieved by using a hybrid microwave integrated circuit design and advanced GaAs pHEMT technology. The connectorized SMA amplifier modules are unconditionally stable and include built-in voltage regulation, bias sequencing, and reverse bias protection for added reliability. The power amplifier over-voltage protection is installed externally for easy repair. These high reliability RF amplifiers are fully matched internally for 50 Ohm input and output, which eliminates the customers need for any additional sensitive external RF tuning components.
