Comtech Receives $3.5 Million Order for GaN Amplifiers

Comtech Telecommunications has announced that its New York-based subsidiary, Comtech PST has received a $3.5 million contract for high-power amplifier systems from a major domestic defense contractor in the second quarter of fiscal 2020.

These very broad frequency band amplifier systems, which utilize the latest in solid-state GaN transistor technology, will be utilized in electronic warfare jamming systems. The amplifiers were developed in close collaboration with the customers to address harsh operating environments.

This order demonstrates Comtech’s continued leadership position in providing electronic warfare jamming transmitter technology and the ongoing demand for the company’s high-power broadband amplifiers that are utilized by major electronic warfare application programs in both domestic and international markets.
