Comtech PST, the New York-based subsidiary of Comtech Telecommunications, has received a $3.1 million contract for high-power amplifier systems from a major domestic prime contractor.
Comtech’s high-power amplifiers, which utilize the latest in solid-state GaN transistor technology, are key transmit elements in a data communication system. They are in addition to an installed base of Comtech solid-state high-power RF amplifiers previously delivered to this major domestic prime contractor.
According to Fred Kornberg, Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer of Comtech Telecommunications, the follow-on order continues to demonstrate the company’s leadership position in providing high-power communications technology and the ongoing demand for its solid-state high-power amplifiers that are utilized by major OEMs in both domestic and international markets.
Comtech PST is a leading independent supplier of broadband, high-power, high performance RF microwave amplifiers and control components for use in a broad spectrum of applications including defense, medical, satellite communications systems and instrumentation. The company had recently also received a $3.5 Million contract for its high-power amplifiers to be used in electronic warfare jamming systems.
