The DuraSorb DS-750 from ETS-Lindgren is a Polystyrene Absorber for frequencies from 80 MHz to 40 GHz. It can handle an input CW incident plane wave power of 250 V/m or a CW power of 600 V/m for 5 minutes with a 10-minute cool-down period. This absorber is manufactured by injecting uniformly loaded lossy materials in predetermined geometric shapes to produce the desired performance. It combines the advantages of proven polyurethane-based absorber performance with the physical properties of polystyrene absorbers. This absorber is intrinsically non-hygroscopic due to its closed-cell design and is engineered to have outstanding fire resistance because it is treated additionally with environmentally friendly fire retardants. It is available in a package that measures 75 cm in height and is ideal for antenna measurements and military standards testing applications.
