The MS32-0004-00 from MAST Technologies is an RF Absorber + Thermal Pad that is designed for EMI/RF suppression and thermal conductance. It has a thickness of 2 mm (0.080 inches) and is formulated for high thermal conductivity as well as EMI/RF attenuation from 50 MHz to 4 GHz. This RF absorber has a thermal conductivity of 1.5 W/mK which enables designers to mount this material directly on top of a silicon chip for heat transfer while also suppressing electromagnetic energy. It has an RF absorption of 25% (@1 GHz), a tensile strength of more than 29 Mpa, and an operating temperature range from -15°C to +190°C.
The MS32-0004-00 is available as standard sheets that measure 210 x 292 mm (other sizes also available) and is ideal for suppressing EMI from noisy chips, thermal gap pad, thermal interface material, sinking hot processor chips to heat sinks, and sinking hot VGA chips to heat sinks.
