The BodyWave™ from AntennaWare are Ultra-Wideband (UWB) Antennas that operate in the 1.9 GHz, 2.4 GHz, 6.5 GHz (UWB channel 5) and 8 GHz (UWB channel 9) bands. They are designed for use in wearable applications and utilize the unique BodyWave™ propagation, which enables wireless communications when there is no direct line of sight with on-body and off-body receivers. This solves the challenge of body blocking, which occurs when the human body blocks the wireless transmission path. These antennas have high radiation efficiency and are resistant to detuning caused by close human body proximity.
The BodyWave™ antennas can ensure reliable real-time data acquisition for full-story analysis and reporting. They are available in compact SMT packages that measure 5 x 5 x 2 mm and are ideal for use in a range of wireless wearable applications covering audio, healthcare, sports wearables, and industrial IoT asset tracking.
