The TAMH-1.6-2.4-5.8/2453 from Cobham is a Triple-band Helix antenna system designed for Counter Drone Applications. This antenna consists of three antennas in a single radome, covering the three most popular commercially used bands: 1.6 GHz (GPS), 2.4 GHz and 5.8 GHz. It is designed using SWaP principles – improved performance while reducing Size, Weight and Power requirement for hand-held and fixed installations.
All three antennas within the radome are Helix (i.e. circular-polarised), which ensures the greatest probability of coupling with the antenna on the target drone, under most flight conditions. Each provides 13 dBic of gain and a narrow 33-degree beam-width, which reduces the possibility of it interfering with non-hostile systems operating in the same bands. This antenna can handle an input power of up to 25 watts. Its three-in-one configuration also reduces wind-loading.
