The SBA2456DB from Cojot is a Dual-Band Switched Beam Antenna that operates in the 2.4/5 GHz Wi-Fi bands from 2400-2500 MHz and 5000-6000 MHz. This vertically polarized antenna provides 14 dBi of gain and has a VSWR of less than 2.5:1. It has a 3 dB beamwidth of up to 45° in the H-plane and 30° in the E-plane. This switched beam antenna provides up to 24 sharp beams with a minimum beamwidth of 20-degrees to cover the full 360-degrees. It has a beam switching speed of less than 1 µs and can be remotely controlled using an RS-485 interface or an Ethernet-based communication. The fast beam switching capability integrated into this antenna allows an optimum gain to be achieved in the desired direction while avoiding interference from unwanted directions.
The SBA2456DB requires a DC supply from 19-32 V and consumes less than 200 mA of current. It is available as a mast-mount package with N-type (female) connectors and is ideal for use in countermeasures and UAV/drone detection applications.
