The BSA-AA65-20R010-32 from Communication Components Inc is an 8-Port Dual Beam Antenna that operates from 2.3 to 2.4 GHz. This antenna has the capability to deploy two sectors of 4×4 MIMO in the 2.3 GHz band. It provides a gain of over 20 dBi, has a VSWR of less than 1.4:1, and cross-polar port-to-port isolation of greater than 25 dB. This 45° dual-polarized antenna can handle up to 300 W of CW input power and has a PIM of less than -150 dBc.
This antenna uses a unique patented bi-sector technology which optimizes overlap between the pairs of asymmetric beams, lowers soft handover losses in LTE, UMTS/HSPA+, and CDMA/EVDO systems, while minimizing interference between sectors. All the left beams are linked and controlled with one RET motor and all the right beams are linked and controlled by a second RET motor, enabling maximum flexibility in network deployment. This patented approach enhances data transfer rates within LTE, UMTS, and EVDO network sectors and addresses “hotspots” in mobile wireless operator networks.
The antenna measures 1012 x 613 x 165 mm with an 8×7-16 DIN female long neck connector and is ideal for delivering high capacity and data-throughput for sites that are performance or capacity constrained, provides a higher level of spectrum reuse making it an ideal solution for spectrum limited markets, valuable spectrum resources, spectrum clearing and refarming, and two sectors of 4×4 MIMO on the 2.3 GHz band.
