The MEA-5GG-SM from Maxtena is a 2-in-1 (5G-NR and GNSS) Antenna that operates from 617 to 5925 MHz. This antenna has two ports, one for 5G-NR Sub-6 GHz and the other for GPS/GLONASS/QZSS/Galileo frequencies. For 5G-NR, it provides a peak gain of 0.6 dB with an efficiency of up to 20.7% and has a VSWR of less than 3.3:1. It has linear polarization and an omnidirectional radiation pattern. For GNSS, it has a hemi-spherical radiation pattern, provides a passive gain of 3.6 dBi and an active gain of 28 dB. The antenna requires a DC supply from 1.5 to 3.6 V, consumes 9 mA of current and 24.3 mW of power.
The MEA-5GG-SM is available in a screw-mount IP67-rated housing that measures 146 (Dia.) x 31.5 (H) mm with anti-rotation mounting. It has two cables with SMA-male standard connectors and a standard length of 2 m. The antenna is ideal for IoT, telematic systems, navigation, remote surveillance, asset tracking and LTE applications.
