The YC0017DA from Quectel is a 5G Surface Mount Antenna that operates from 698 to 3800 MHz. This linearly-polarized antenna provides a peak gain of up to 4.1 dBi with an efficiency of 67% and has a VSWR of less than 6.4:1. It is designed to cover 5G NR sub-6 GHz bands and is also compatible with 2G, 3G, 4G, and LPWA frequency bands. This omni-directional antenna can be paired with other 5G antennas for MIMO antenna technology used in wireless communications. It can be tuned specifically for the final device environment with a simple PI matching circuit.
The YC0017DA is ground-plane independent and can be mounted directly to the device host PCB using a conventional PCB reflow process. This RoHS-compliant antenna is available in a surface-mount package that measures 25 x 7 x 3 mm. It is supplied in tape and reel for high-volume pick and place assembly.
