The FXUB66.07.0150C (Maximus FXUB66) from Taoglas is a Flexible PCB Antenna that operates from 600 to 6000 MHz. It is made of a flexible polymer and is designed to be mounted directly onto a plastic or glass enclosure/cover. This linearly polarized antenna provides peak gain of 4.8 dBi and has an efficiency of above 60 % across all cellular bands. It has an omnidirectional radiation pattern and has a VSWR of less than 3.5:1. The antenna can handle an input power of 5 W.
The Maximus FXUB66 can cover all working frequencies within its operational RF spectrum such as cellular (5G/4G/3G/2G), NB-IoT, Cat-M, Wi-Fi, ISM, and GNSS bands. It has a hybrid design that allows electromagnetic waves to travel in two predominant propagation modes - one for lower frequencies (like 5G/4G at 600 MHz), and the other for higher 5G/4G and up to 6 GHz Wi-Fi frequencies. The antenna is very thin and can be assembled by a simple “peel & stick” process over non-metal surfaces using a 3M adhesive.
The FXUB66.07.0150C is available in a package that measures 120.4 x 50.4 x 0.2 mm with a fully customizable I-PEX MHF (U.FL compatible) connector and cable. It is ideal for 4G/5G, sub-6GHz applications and for non-cellular frequencies/protocols such as 868 MHz, 915 MHz or Zigbee applications. The antenna is inherently resistant to detuning compared to other small narrow-band legacy antennas. It can be a good retrofit module in wireless devices and offers a cost-effective option for manufacturers since it can be used for different frequency bands.
