The OTA Antenna Test Systems from Copper Mountain Technologies are designed for measuring 5G or mmWave antennas. They can perform far-field measurements with a frequency range of 18 to 54 GHz (coaxial) and 50 to 220 GHz (waveguide). These turnkey systems include a benchtop compact anechoic chamber that can accommodate DUTs measuring 40 x 200 x 110 mm and weighing up to 1 Kg. They feature a wide array of configurations depending on the user’s far-field requirements, antenna size, desired frequency range, and antenna positioner functionality. These systems include a 3D antenna positioner (gimbal), intuitive measurement software, and other necessary accessories to fully set up a chamber for far-field antenna measurements.

The OTA Antenna Test Systems utilize CMT’s 2-port 9 GHz Cobalt VNA and a set of CobaltFx FET1854 Frequency Extender modules to perform the measurements. They provide a low-cost, space-saving solution ideal for 5G antenna testing applications in automotive radar, aerospace, satellite communication, and similar industries. These affordable and portable systems can enable users to test multiple antennas simultaneously.
