The H300 from EMITE is a 5G OTA Test System that is designed for Sub-6 GHz and mm-Wave frequencies. It consists of a medium-sized anechoic chamber, a Compact Antenna Test Range (CATR) with a 100 x 100 cm serrated precision reflector (15 µm peak-to-peak roughness), a lateral-positioned tower and feed antenna (for frequencies from 3 to 40 GHz). This test system also includes a 3D AuT/DuT fully-automated 0.03°-accurate positioning system with both roll-over azimuth and roll-over elevation (for DUTs up to 8 Kg, extendable to 50 Kg). It has a 36cm quiet zone (which can be extended to 60 cm) and an additional direct feed antenna for frequencies from 600 MHz to 3 GHz. It is capable of simultaneous FR1 (600 MHz to 6 GHz) and FR2 (40/67/110 GHz) testing and also test beamforming and 5G signaling key performance indicators (KPIs).
The H300 can conduct a complete 3D performance assessment of 5G devices and antennas in accordance with 3GPP TR38.810, TR37.842, and TR38.101. It supports 3GPP-permitted OTA test methods such as Direct Far-Field (DFF), Indirect Far-Field Compact Antenna Test Range (IFF-CATR), Near-to-Far Field Transformation Spherical Near Field (NTFT-SNF). This 3GPP/CTIA/PTCRB-ready test system has excellent phase accuracies and can be connected to a gNodeB emulator for active OTA measurements of 5G devices. It can be controlled with an intuitive graphic user interface (GUI).
This 5G OTA testing system also has the option for a climatic enclosure that allows for 5G OTA testing under controlled temperature (from -40 to 90°C) and humidity (from 10% to 98% RH) conditions. It is available in an enclosure that measures 3.45 x 1.70 x 1.99 m and has carbon-loaded polystyrene absorbers for extreme durability.
