The SG Evo from Microwave Vision Group is a Multi-probe Spherical Near-field Antenna Measurement System for heavy DUTs and high-accuracy applications. It supports frequencies from 400 MHz to 50 GHz and has a unique design that enables unlimited sampling using a precision positioning mechanism in the arch. This eliminates any tilting of the DUT which avoids gravitational deflections of the DUT and azimuth positioner. It can also be configured with multiple parallel receivers to reduce measurement time, especially when testing a large number of frequencies or devices with many potential antenna beam states.
The SG Evo has a modular design scheme that allows the size of the probe array arch to be decided in accordance with the typical size and weight of the DUT, and the sets of probes can be selected according to the frequencies to be measured. It is suitable for 5G massive MIMO, LEO satellite constellations, V2X communication, SATCOM, telecom, aerospace, or other applications. This system is primed to test and validate antennas in any stage of development, from R&D through full system integration and production.
