The NEXUS Wi-5G from Quintech is an Attenuator Matrix that operates 600 MHz to 6 GHz. This bi-directional matrix uses solid-state switching technology and has a non-blocking, full fan-in/fan-out architecture. It features 64 sets of integrated fixed attenuators (35 dB) and programmable attenuators (from 0 to 60 dB in 0.5 dB steps) to provide up to 90 dB of total attenuation per connection. This attenuator matrix can connect any input port to one or all output ports and any output port to one or all input ports using integrated wideband splitters and combiners. It also allows unused connections to be turned off using internally terminated 100 dB isolation switches. This attenuator matrix enables automated testing of 2x2 to 8x8 MIMO connections.
The NEXUS Wi-5G enables interoperability, coexistence, and testing of current and emerging standards (4G/LTE, 5G, Wi-Fi 6). It is suitable for roaming, handover, beam forming, wireless mesh network tests, and validation of network equipment. It allows circuit-switched fallback testing to be conducted in a controlled environment isolated from commercial signals, emulation of mobility scenarios, and interband carrier aggregation. This matrix allows easy configuration of Wi-Fi interference tests and regression testing can also be completed in reduced time enhancing laboratory ROI.
This attenuator matrix uses Quintech’s proprietary Q-LAAMP® software management platform to provide a ready-to-use test system with an intuitive GUI and user-configurable RF fading applications. It includes Ethernet, TELNET, SNMP, and TCP/IP interfaces for remote operation. The NEXUS Wi-5G is available in a 3RU enclosure that measures 5.25 x 19.00 x 25.25 inches with N-type, SMA, QMA, TNC, and 4.3-10 connectors. It requires an AC supply from 100 to 240 V (50/60 Hz).
