The BGT24AR2 from Infineon Technologies is a SiGe Twin IQ Receiver MMIC that accommodates two separate homodyne quadrature downconversion chains, operating in the 24 GHz ISM band from 24.00 to 24.25 GHz. This MMIC includes LO buffer amplifiers to relax LO drive requirements, individual LNAs to provide low noise figures of 12 dB, RC polyphase filters (PPF) for LO quadrature phase generation, and temperature sensor for monitoring purposes.
The BGT24AR2 has a high conversion gain of 26 dB and a high 1 dB input compression point of -12 dBm. The circuit is manufactured on 0.18µm SiGe:C technology. It operates over a supply voltage of 3.3 V and consumes 300 mW of power. This RoHS-compliant, Pb-free MMIC is available in a 32 pin leadless VQFN package that measures 5.5 x 4.5 mm. It is qualified according to AEC Q100 for use in automotive applications.
