The BFM03901 from Sivers Semiconductors is a 5G NR Beamforming IC and antenna array module that operates from 37 to 43.5 GHz. It provides unmatched power performance and throughput together with an integrated antenna that gives a competitive advantage when using licensed 5G spectrum. This Beamforming transceiver has 32 (2x16 H+V) ports which enable two data streams supporting 2 MIMO layers. The module is designed for 3GPP NR 5G Fixed Wireless Access (FWA) applications.
The BFM03901 has integrated T/R-switches, linear power, and low noise amplifier and features RF tiling of multiple transceivers for large array antenna configurations. It provides a beam steering of ± 45 degrees in both azimuth and elevation. The IC delivers transmit power up to 45 dBm and includes electronic beam steering in a single module to enable deployments in the most diverse applications. The module also includes autonomous calibration routines and simple baseband interfaces for easy installation and maintenance.
