The ABD250DC from Actox is a Block Upconverter (BUC) that converts input frequencies from 950 – 1825 MHz to output frequencies from 5.850 – 6.725 GHz. It has a local oscillator (LO) frequency of 4.90 GHz. This BUC delivers a saturated output power of 250 W with a conversion gain of 77 dB and has a phase noise of less than -85 dBc/Hz (at a 10 kHz offset). It is manufactured using GaN technology and offers high efficiency, low power consumption, and high reliability. This BUC has spurious emissions of better than -50 dBc and an L.O. leakage of less than -45 dBm.
The ABD250DC has advanced monitoring and control (M&C) interfaces such as RS-232/RS-485, and Ethernet (HTTP and SNMP v3) with optional FSK modulation. It is available in an enclosure that measures 260 x 180 x 142 mm with a field-exchangeable N-type input connector and CPR-137G waveguide output interface. This BUC can operate on both AC and DC supply with an AC supply from 80 V to 240 V, and a DC supply of 48 V, and consumes less than 1 kW of power.
