The Sierra-Line from Advantech Wireless Technologies are a series of GaN SSPA BUCs for both mobile and fixed Communication terminals. These BUC’s are available in different band configurations such as X, C, and Ku-Band. They are designed for high-efficiency applications and are available in an optimal compact form factor that provides high performance and reliability.
- In the Ku-Band configuration, the BUC upconverts an Input frequency from 950-1450 MHz to an output frequency from 12.75-13.25 GHz with an output power of 25, 40, and 50W respectively.
- In the C-Band configuration, the BUC upconverts an Input frequency from 975-1675 MHz to an output frequency from 5.725-6.425 GHz with an output power of 40, 50, 60, 80 and 100W respectively.
- In the X-Band configuration, the BUC upconverts an Input frequency from 950-1450 MHz to an output frequency from 7.9-8.4 GHz with an output power of 40, 50, 60, 80 and 100W respectively.
They have an adjustable gain of 20 dB and feature monitoring of critical parameters such as RF power detection, mute control, over-temperature shutdown, and summary alarm. The Ku-Band Configured BUC has an optional dual LO (switchable) feature which covers both regular and external Ku-Band. They require a DC voltage of 48V and an AC voltage of 110-220V for operation.
With advanced customer interface and HTTP embedded web page, the user can monitor and control the BUC and help in System Redundancy. These IP55-rated BUC’s support Ethernet, RS-485, RS-232, SNMP monitoring and has a grooved waveguide output interface in Ku-band (WR75G), C-band (CPR 137G) and X-band (CPR 112G) respectively. They are available in a module with N-type Female (50 and 75 ohm) connectors and measure 23.6 x 15.2 x 14.7 mm.
