The AMIC80-NM from Amkom is a Block Upconverter (BUC) that converts an IF frequency from 950 – 1525 MHz to an output RF frequency from 6.725 – 7.025 GHz (INSAT). It delivers a saturated output power of 80 W with a gain of more than 67 dB and has a phase noise of -85 dBc/Hz (@10 kHz offset). This BUC utilizes efficient and reliable GaAs + GaN high-power amplifiers with internal overdrive protection and has built-in Rx reject filters that provide suppression of 50 dB. It has a noise power density of -75 dBm/Hz (Tx) and -145 dBm/Hz (Rx). The BUC requires a DC supply from 36 to 76 V and includes RS232/485, Ethernet, and SNMP interfaces for monitoring and control. It is available in an MIL-STD810E compliant enclosure that measures 188 x 130 x 122 mm with built-in anti-vibration technology and field-replaceable IP69-rated fans.
