The AMKD20 from AMKOM is a DBS-Band Block Up Converter that up-converts an input frequency from 950-1750 MHz and 1400-1700 MHz to an output frequency from 17.3-18.1 GHz and 18.1-18.4 GHz. It provides a saturated output power of 20 W (43 dBm) and a linear power of 16 W (42 dBm) with a gain of over 69 dB. This BUC has a switchable 16.35 GHz and 16.70 GHz Local Oscillator with an external auto-sensing reference of 10 MHz. It requires a DC voltage from 18-55 V and consumes 115 W of power @Psat. This BUC has an in-built receive band reject filter, DC input noise suspension filter, and field-replaceable IP69K rated fans.
The AMKD20 uses mature, proven, efficient, and reliable GaAs + GaN high power amplifiers with internal overdrive protection and a precise linearization technique. Each unit is rigorously tested and has a triple protection sealed waveguide output. The BUC exceeds all IESS-308/309 phase noise standards and is compliant with MIL-STD810E, MIL-STD810F, and Method 514.5 C-2 Transport standards.
This weatherproof, robust, and ultra-lightweight BUC is available in a module that measures 152 x 94 x 74 mm with an N-type connector at the input and a WR62 waveguide interface at the output.
