The APKU(S)-150W from Amkom are Outdoor Block Upconverters that convert input frequencies from 950 – 1450 MHz to output frequencies (RF) from 13.75 – 14.5 GHz. They deliver an output power of 150 W (~52 dBm) with a gain of more than 75 dB and have a phase noise of -85 dBc/Hz (@10 kHz offset). These converters are developed using GaAs and GaN technology and are qualified to provide extreme stability, reliability, and performance. They include built-in optimized linearization, receive band reject filter, HPA, over-drive protection, and an anti-vibration technology to ensure for safe operation and survivability under harsh environments. The BUCs have in-band spurious emissions of less than -60 dBc.
The APKU(S)-150W has Ethernet, SNMP, RS232/45, and FSK (optional) for monitoring and control. They are available in an enclosure that measures 8.5 x 5.2 x 4.54 inches with triple protection sealed waveguide output interface and integrated IP68-rated field-replaceable fans for cooling. The BUCS requires an AC supply from 85 V to 260 V and consumes 790 W of power.
