The CPKO1425SB from Communications & Power Industries is a Solid-State Block Up Converter that converts input frequencies from 950 – 1700 MHz to output frequencies from 13.75 – 14.5 GHz. It combines an integrated L-band BUC and GaAs IMFET-based output section to provide a saturated power of 25 W with a gain of more than 60 dB. This converter has a 12.8 GHz local oscillator (LO) which has a phase noise of -110 dBc/Hz @ 1 MHz offset. It requires a DC supply from 24 to 48 V and consumes less than 240 W of power.
The CPKO1425SB has a built-in monitor with remote control and status monitoring functions provided via a serial link (RS-232/422/485). It is available in a lightweight, weather-proof enclosure that measures 194 x 138 x 81 mm with an N-type (female) connector or WR75G waveguide interface. This converter is ideal for direct integration on the small aperture or field-deployable antenna applications.
