The SB47XOA from CPI is an X-band GaN Block Upconverter for satellite uplink applications. It upconverts an input frequency from 950 to 1450 MHz to an output frequency from 7.9 to 8.4 GHz with a 6.95 GHz local oscillator. The device provides 50W of saturated output power (25W linear) with a gain of 70 dB. It operates on both AC (90 to 264 V) and DC (40 to 60) input voltage options.
The BUC is available in a lightweight, the outdoor package (10.65 x 5.62 x 5.58 inches) with a Type-N (F) connector at the input, WR112 waveguide with a CPR112G or UG-138/U flange at the output, and serial network RS232/422/485 Ethernet, 10/100 Base T M&C interfaces. This compact GaN BUC can be mounted directly at the antenna for maximum efficiency during operation. It is designed to support SATCOM terminal certifications as per the requirements outlined in MIL-STD-188-164B.
