The Falcon 40Ka from Comtech Xicom Technology is a Ka-band SSPA+BUC that up-converts an input frequency from 950 - 1950 MHz to an output frequency from 27.5 - 30.0 GHz (1 GHz selectable). It delivers a saturated output power of 40 W with a gain of 70 dB and a phase noise of -103 dBc/Hz @ 1 MHz offset. This lightweight and efficient BUC is based on a high efficiency GaN solid-state design that enables delivering high power in the toughest environments. It requires an AC supply from 100 - 120 V and draws a linear AC power of 370 W. The BUC has an Ethernet control interface with an SNMP option or Serial RS-232. It is available in a ARINC package that measures 9.6 x 18.0 x 3.25 inches.
