The BUCPA Series from EM Research are Block Up Converter Power Amplifiers that convert input frequencies from 1 – 2 GHz to output frequencies (RF) from 28.5 – 29.5 GHz. They deliver an output power of 10 W (~40 dBm) with a gain of 62 dB. These converters have spurious levels of less than -60 dBc and phase noise of -77 dBc/Hz (at 1 kHz offset). They provide excellent gain control with low phase noise while maintaining low power consumption. These block-up converters also include internal/external references for better timing and support a wide choice of frequency ranges. They are available in housings that measure 9.00 x 3.60 x 2.40 inches and are ideal for laboratory testing and conversion and satellite communication applications.
