The FN-U-K1L1-24407 (Falcon2) from ETL Systems is a Block Upconverter (BUC) that converts input frequencies from 1150 to 2150 MHz to output frequencies from 12.75 to 14.5 GHz. It provides a conversion gain of up to 35 dB with a gain step size of 0.25 dB and has a noise figure of less than 12 dB. This BUC has a phase noise of -110 dBc/Hz (at 1 MHz offset) and provides an image rejection of more than 60 dB. It supports field-replaceable 2+1 or 1+1 redundancy configurations.
This BUC has flexible module configurations that allow up to four Falcon2 conversion modules to be housed within the GENUS chassis. Depending on requirements these could be all upconverters, all downconverters, or a mix of both. All modules are field-serviceable and replaceable including the hot-swappable dual redundant power supplies and CPU.
The FN-U-K1L1-24407 (Falcon2) has a field-replaceable internal 100 MHz reference source and external reference inject port, enabling the user to utilize the latest referencing technologies. It has a high-resolution touchscreen for local control and monitoring and supports remote control and monitoring via RJ45 Ethernet port with SNMP and web browser interface. This BUC is available in a 1U enclosure and is ideal for use in teleports and earth stations, satellite operations, government and defence applications, telemetry, tracking and command (TT&C) and high-resilience applications.
