The Cube-Ka-20 Watt Cube from Mission Microwave is a Ka-Band Block Up-Converter that converts input frequencies from 950 – 1950/1000 – 2000 MHz to output frequencies from 29 – 30/30 – 31 GHz. It delivers an output power of up to 20 W (43 dBm) with a gain of 60 dB and has a phase noise of -105 dBc/Hz (@1 MHz offset). This BUC has an in-built variable attenuator with an attenuation range of 31 dB and can be adjusted in steps of 0.25 dB. It utilizes Mission Microwave’s proprietary power combining technology and thorough system optimization to achieve a compact form factor that can mount directly to the feed port of most satellite antennas. This BUC requires a DC supply from 22 to 54 V and consumes less than 135 W of power.
The Cube-Ka-20 Watt includes ethernet or OpenBMIP (optional) interfaces for monitoring and control (M&C) and can be remote-controlled. It is available in an IP67-rated enclosure that measures 6.7 x 4 x 2 inches and weighs 0.9 kg.
