The RGUC from RevGo Global is a Ka-Band Block-Up Converter that converts an input frequency (IF) from 950 – 1950 MHz to an output frequency (RF) from 27.5 – 31 GHz. It delivers a saturated output power of 39.8 W (~46 dBm) with a small signal gain from 67 – 77 dB. This BUC has spurious levels of -60 dBc and phase noise of -93 dBc/Hz at 100 kHz offset. It is based on GaN technology and is optimized to provide high linearity that accommodates higher-order modulation schemes and ensures a high data rate. The converter requires a DC supply from 36 V to 60 V and consumes 350 W of power.
The RGUC is designed to provide monitoring and control using real-time clocks, event logging, SNMP, O-BMIP, and a web interface. It has fans that can be independently removed without causing service interruption. This block-up converter is available in a module that measures 10.6 x 5.4 x 6.1 inches with an N-type (female) input connector and WR28-G (grooved) waveguide output interface. It is ideal for terminals (fixed, portable, and transportable), SNG vehicles, 5G backhaul, and maritime applications.
